Birth Photography

Let’s face it... This can certainly happen! Some birth’s go very fast! Communication is vital during this time. You can text me as soon as you think you are in labor, then once your labor has been confirmed you will need to call me and be certain that I am made fully aware of your progression every step of the way. If I miss the birth because your labor went so fast that I simply could not make it in time; I will get there as soon as possible and capture post-delivery photos, as well as I will come back and photograph your baby prior to going home; such as a Fresh 48 session. If the birth is missed due to lack of communication or your failure to call me, unfortunately no refunds will be issued. I will however be happy to offer a Fresh 48 in hospital session as well as an in-home lifestyle newborn session. If the birth is missed due my own accord; If I miss your calls, I’m sick, etc, you will have the option of receiving a full refund or receiving the fresh 48/ in home lifestyle newborn sessions. This subject is discussed more thoroughly in our consultation, and or within my birth photography contract.

Cesarean births make beautiful birth stories! If you end up having a Cesarean, there is a good chance that I will still be able to document your delivery in the operating room! It’s important to discuss this with your provider prior, just to check their policies. My presence in the operating room will also need to be cleared by your surgeon and anesthesiologist. In the event that I am not allowed back there, I will document as much of your birth story as possible up until you enter the operating room. At that point, I will pass along my camera to your support person so that they can capture photo’s of the birth.  I'll resume photographing post-delivery as usual. Everyone’s birth story is unique, and every birth story deserves to be captured!

I hear you sister! I am and was the SAME way! I was in love with the idea of having someone photograph the birth of my youngest baby, but also terrified at what I might see… I’ve never been one to feel comfortable being entirely exposed. So, I expressed my feelings towards modesty, and took a leap of faith. I was SO pleased to see the end results of my own professionally photographed birth. After my own experience, I knew that I would one day provide this very same gift to other Mama's. The gift of having your entire birth story captured and preserved in a beautifully, magical and MODEST manor. My job is to tell YOUR birth story. To capture the emotions, the strength and the beauty. When it’s time for your baby to enter this world, I will photograph his/her entrance in the manor that you are most comfortable with. If you are looking for modesty, it IS possible! I will stand behind you and capture every detail without exposing your most private parts.
