My Story
I'm Sarah—a wife, a mom of three, and the heart behind Petals & Prairie Photography. For over 10 years, I've been passionate about capturing people in genuine ways that evoke emotions and reflect their true selves, whether through family portraits, a newborn session, or stunning senior portraits.
I've always found beauty in things with character—the western lifestyle, old souls, worn leather, dusty roads, quiet moments, and the stories that live in the in-between. With children deeply involved in the horse and rodeo world, this way of life has woven itself into our everyday rhythm and serves as a profound inspiration for many of my creations, including family portraits, newborn sessions, and senior portraits.
Over the years, life has taught me just how quickly seasons change and how meaningful photographs, such as family portraits and senior portraits, become with time... The moments that may seem small now often become the ones we hold on to most. That perspective is what shaped my love for storytelling imagery—photographs that feel warm, timeless, and full of emotion, whether from a newborn session or a family gathering.
